Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff is Hiring a Kennel Technician Near Charles, LA

Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff is seeking to hire a Full-Time or Part-Time Kennel Attendant to join our amazing team!

The successful candidate(s) must:

  • experience preferred but not required- we will train you!
  • have strong communication skills
  • have a flexible schedule
  • is dependable, reliable, PUNCTUAL and organized
  • works well on a team
  • able to keep an efficient log on patients in clinic
  • able to multi-task in a busy environment
  • lift and carry up to 40lbs
  • stand and walk up to 9 hours with 1 hour lunch break
  • reliable transportation
  • adequate daycare

Kennel attendants provide the basic needs of animals that are being boarded, groomed or that are patients in the hospital.

General duties include but are not limited to:

  • cleaning(this means anything & everything) and sanitizing cages, boarding area, bathrooms ect.
  • feeding and caring for canines and felines
  • walking canines(no matter the weather), changing feline litter pans
  • doing laundry & washing, sanitizing pet dishes
  • cleaning and maintaining hospital interior and outside premises ( this includes lobby, lunch rooms, groom room, store room & any other part of the clinic that needs attending to)
  • checking on all patients throughout the day
  • bathe pets and prepare pets for dismissal
  • assisting Veterinarians and and Technicians when needed
  • giving medications to hospitalized or boarding patients
  • communicates to Vets/Techs about patients health that are hospitalized

The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients and the highest quality medical and boarding care to their pets.

The Full-Time position is 35-40 hours a week, the Part-Time position would be 20-29 hours a week. Both positions require you be available weekends and Holidays. We do close daily for lunch 12pm-1pm for an hour lunch break.

Priority will be given to applicants with Veterinary and or Kennel experience. Pay rate will be determined by experience.

Full-Time positions are eligible for Health, Dental, Vision insurance and 401K within 30 days.
