Animal Medical Care [AVPM GA PC 3 LLC] is Hiring a Veterinary Technician - Animal Medical Care Near Gainesville, GA

Veterinary Technician Animal Medical Care Gainesville, Georgia Busy clinic seeking EXPERIENCED Veterinary Technician. Able to work full-time hours, some Saturdays, and a monthly treatment weekend. The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, be energetic, motivated, and be a team player. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to build positive, professional relationships with staff members and compassionate communication and care with patients and clients. Must be reliable. Some responsibilities include: Enter medical notes and vital signs into patient records, create estimates of charges for medical plans, make notes in patient files of phone or in-person conversations Accurately and reliably collect and perform routine laboratory procedures, dispense medications, place IV catheters, take radiographs, and assist in surgery, as needed Prepare and administer oral medication and injectables Compassionately and calmly approach and interact with clients and patients Interpret and complete in-patient and out-patient workup requests by DVM Provide nursing care for patients throughout the day and report any abnormalities or concerns to co-workers and/or DVMs Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery Monitor patients during surgery and recovery Maintain logs (surgery, controlled substance, and patient in-house records) Communicate and educate owners on emergency procedures, estimates of treatment, routine procedures, hospital protocol, and at-home instructions following treatment in the clinic Handle emergencies by following established hospital policies and procedures for immediate treatment of patients Maintain hospital cleanliness and sterilization, and hospital supply restocking Perform other duties as assigned At AmeriVet, your well-being, your loved ones, and your future are our top priorities.
