Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Take X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
- Provide support during surgeries and other medical procedures

Experience:

- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician or DIREST ASSISTANT TO THE VETERINARIAN is required
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common medical conditions
- Familiarity with veterinary medical equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
