Animal Behavior Wellness Center is looking for some new talent!

The Practice: We are a thriving behavior specialty clinic located in Virginia. We have two locations: one in Fairfax and the other in Richmond. Our purpose is to screen companion animals for significant behavioral disorders, diagnose them, and develop treatment plans to assist in their rehabilitation. While the majority of our practice is dedicated to intervention, we also offer puppy prevention classes, private training, professional coaching, and topic specific workshops. The Position: Are you interested in animal behavior? Do you want to work among Fear Free Certified professionals? This position will put you in a prime spot to learn all about the inner workings of a veterinary behavior practice. This team member will assist the veterinarian in appointments and in the daily operation of the hospital.

Required Qualifications: - Previous work experience in veterinary health care. Experience in data entry; Knowledge of medical terminology; Proficient computer and math skills; Knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to organize work by tasks. - Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and respond with a sense of urgency, perform work duties with initiative and commitment to high standards. - Enthusiasm for teamwork and a strong work ethic. - Ability to learn and perform a variety of tasks contributing to overall team success. The ability to work independently on tasks as assigned. - Dedication to excellent customer service and animal welfare and the treatment of all patients, clients, and staff with respect and compassion.

Position Requirements: - Reliable transportation to and from work. - Must be at least 18 years or older - Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)
• Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
