JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production area and all manufacturing processes on it, ensuring quality and schedule attainment requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; other duties may be assigned.

· Determine production priorities while considering operation efficiency.

· Establish and follow up on key performance indicators and make sure that productivity goals are met.

· Ensure team members are achieving production objectives in a safe manner and according to Angstrom policies, procedures, and work instructions.

· Ensure tool and material change overs are completed in a safe and timely manner to support production schedule.

· Represent Angstrom values and improvement initiatives through communications and leadership.

• Support activities related to the maintenance of our ISO14001 Environmental & IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.

· Report shift performance, administer time and attendance.

· Accurately track and reduce amount of scrap.

• Identify productivity improvement opportunities and provide feedback to the Management team on continuous improvement activities.

· Ensure that all standard operating, safety, quality and environmental procedures are followed.

· Coach and develop production team members.

· Understand, lead and maintain the 5S standards of organization

· Participate in Kaizen activities as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Thermoforming, Vacuum forming or Plastics experience.
• Previous automotive high volume manufacturing experience.

· Strong leadership, organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong computer skills and practical knowledge of Excel and Word programs.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum 3 years supervisory experience planning, scheduling, and prioritizing the activities of a production team.

· Leadership training with experience in coaching and team member development.

· Managing process improvement.

· Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, 5S and Lean Manufacturing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Competency in English communications (written, verbal, and comprehension).

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

· Basic math skills required.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Possesses interpersonal skills to interact with all departments and levels within the organization.
• Ability to work independently, coordinating work with work of others as needed.
• Familiarity with Plex system.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, workplace inspection and incident investigation procedures.
• Maintain continuous learning in order to keep up with new developments in field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
