Looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work with a positive and supportive team in a fun, growing hospital. Assistant Duties: (not limited to)
Maintain knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations
Communicate and educate owners while providing excellent customer service
Assist veterinarian in medical/surgical procedures using proper restraint
Update and Maintain accurate patient medical records
Perform routine laboratory procedures
Administer and monitor anesthesia under the direction of a veterinarian
Administer treatments and injections following the instructions of a doctor
Initiate emergency procedures
Take and process radiographs
Take vital signs of animals
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
1 year experience preferred
Or enrolled in a CVT program
Hardworking, willing to help the team when needed, great attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
Responsible, detail-oriented, personable and professional; able to prioritize and cope with a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly
Must be able to work standing
Must not have aversion to strong odors
Must not have aversion to loud noises
