Role Overview
We are seeking a CG / VFX Generalist who will be instrumental in executing photo-real rendering quality and strong simulation, while also providing support in overseeing technical aspects of projects to help maintain an efficient workflow. This role requires a balance of creative execution and technical expertise, with a primary focus as on-the-box creative execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their expertise in CG and VFX, leveraging their technical skills to support the overall project pipeline. A collaborative mindset and nimble problem-solving abilities are essential for pushing the creative boundaries daily.

Responsibilities
- Execute CG/VFX projects, maintaining photo-real rendering and high-quality composites for 2D and 3D deliverables.
- Establish technical specifications for projects as needed, including collaborating in setting up workflows for animation pipelines.
- Understand and communicate technical and artistic constraints to producers and team members.
- Anticipate and recognize potential production issues, recommending solutions.
- Provide technical and creative support throughout project timelines.
- Encourage collaborative working practices among the team and colleagues.
- Motivate and develop junior team members, acting as a mentor in technical/artistic aspects.
Requirements (Skills & Experience)
- 5 years of experience as a technically minded CG Generalist with a diverse reel showcasing a wide variety of styles and aesthetics.
- Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies related to 2D / 3D motion graphics, CG, and VFX workflow.
- Advanced skills in After Effects or Nuke, Cinema 4D or Maya, and Houdini.
- Proficiency in Redshift, Octane, and/or Arnold.
- Advanced compositing skills in either After Effects or node-based compositing software (e.g., Nuke).
- Solid understanding of node-based compositing packages (e.g., Nuke).
- Python or similar scripting language skills are a plus (Python, Pymel, Qt, PyQt, PySide) and nice to have
- Experience using fTrack for project and shot tracking would be nice to have
- Experience collaborating with concept artists, designers, and VFX teams.
- Strong communication skills; must work well within a team and articulate ideas effectively.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to take direction with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks based on production needs.
Expectations:
- Ongoing:
- Expected to work on one to two projects simultaneously.
- Regular participation in daily standups, creative team meetings, and monthly staff meetings.
- 30 Days: Familiarization with team, workflows, and ongoing projects
- 60 Days: Actively contribute to projects by providing technical support.
- 90 Days: Lead aspects of projects and provide recommendation for workflows improvements
