Established Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery practice in La Jolla currently looking for a full-time medical assistant to join our team. Must be a proactive, highly organized team player who can work well independently and under direct supervision. Ideal candidate is a self-starter - must be personable, adaptable, confident, and have a problem-solver attitude. Pre-health candidates in their gap years are encouraged to apply, but must have prior experience with patients in a clinical setting. Pay commensurate with experience.

• Prior clinical experience as a volunteer or medical assistant
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Description (includes but not limited to):

• Daily administrative activities (scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, answering phone calls)
• Take/record vitals, document patients’ medical histories, update electronic medical records
• Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient examinations and procedures.
• Assisting the physician during in-office procedures
• Clean, sterilize, and inventory medical equipment and instruments.

Office hours 8am-5pm
