Angel Kids Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate LCSW or LMHC to join our team!

Job Summary:

The LCSW or LMHC will work with clients to develop, implement, and evaluate social services that meet the needs of the client and community. The LCSW or LMHC will work closely with the Behavioral Health Manager, Clinical Directors and staff to ensure that services are delivered in a culturally competent manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide social services to individuals, families, and communities.
• Conduct individual, family, group, and community-based assessments.
• Provide social support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Participate in planning and implementation of mental & behavioral health services.
• Collaborate with other service providers to develop and implement social service plans.
• Develop and implement strategies for enhancing community resources such as health care, food banks, housing, education, transportation, etc.
• Developing communication skills between client and family members or others who can serve as a support team.
• Specialized training/experience with assessment and treatment planning Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Advanced study of mental health assessment
• Serve as a mentor for client’s family members or others who can serve as a support team.
• Serve as a resource for families or other support personnel in crisis situations.
• Serve as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities who need help paying bills or accessing needed medical services.
• Serve as an advocate for individuals living in long-term care facilities or other institutions that may have barriers to accessing needed medical services.
• Serve as an advocate for individuals living with mental health issues.
• Understanding of principles of legal documentation and medical records release of information.
• Counsels with patient and family and may involve community resources. May make visits as needed to other clinic locations outside of primary location.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience: · 1 or more years of experience and skill working with pediatric patients at risk for and/or diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience in providing mental health assessments and therapy/counseling services to patients, treatment planning, trauma-focused, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral or equivalent; monitor patient’s progress.
