**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and driven Dental Assistant to join our professional, caring, and positive team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing quality oral healthcare to patients.

**Duties:**

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs

- Take and dental X-rays and IO photos

- Maintain patient records and medical documentation

- Enter treatment plans recommended by the doctor for the treatment coordinator to present to patient

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments using aseptic techniques

- Take and record patients' vital signs

- Perform patient assessments and assist in treatment planning

**Requirements:**

- Prior experience in dental assisting or related field

- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

- Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as Dentrix and Dexis

- Familiarity with taking X-rays and patient assessment techniques

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information

- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients

**Nice-to-Have Skills:**

- Experience with medical documentation and recordkeeping

- Understanding of aseptic technique in a healthcare setting

- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring during dental procedures

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
