Impact Medical is a leader in the field of Part B billing in long term care facilities across 15 states in the Midwest. We specialize in providing nursing home residents with disposable medical goods which include wound care dressings, tracheostomy, urology, colostomy and enteral feeding supplies. Impact Medical has experienced rapid growth since our founding in April of 2014 and is looking for people to join us in our company’s next chapter of growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven individual to join our team as a Director of Finance. This position will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, managing the accounting department, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth and financial objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • ·Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • ·Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • ·Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • ·Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • ·Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • ·Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • ·Oversee general ledger maintenance, chart of accounts, and reconciliation processes.
  • ·Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • ·Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
  • ·Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to drive cost efficiencies and revenue growth.
  • ·Develop rolling forecasts and financial models to support strategic planning.
  • ·Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash resources effectively.
  • ·Review and analyze cash flow statements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate measures.
  • ·Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to support financing needs.
  • ·Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • ·Oversee internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • ·Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
  • ·Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • ·Provide guidance, support, and training to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
  • ·Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and identify opportunities for professional growth.

Minimum Requirements, Abilities and Expectations

  • ·Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ·CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
  • ·Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
  • ·Significant experience in progressively responsible financial roles, with at least 10 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership position.
  • ·In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
  • ·Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • ·Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis.
  • ·Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex financial data, and provide actionable insights.
  • ·Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • ·Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • ·Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • ·Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • ·Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
