• Ensure all mandated trainings, TCI, Mandated Reporter, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid /AED, are delivered in accordance with standards.

• Ensure all training is appropriately documented and all staff receives required training in a timely fashion.
• Provide support to agency departments on securing appropriate training resources to meet identified needs.
• Complete all paperwork requirements accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain certification(s) as a trainer of TCI, CPR, First Aid, etc.
• Effectively monitor all training facilities and equipment for hazards and addresses concerns.
• Provides and accepts feedback & constructive criticism on issues affecting children, families & program.
• Consider client safety issues and risk management in the preparation and delivery of all training.
• Adhere to agency policies regarding privacy and confidentiality.
• Understanding and supporting the agency’s mission & treatment philosophy:

• Certification(s) as a trainer in TCI is required and CPR/First Aid/AED is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, information technology, or related field.
• 5 years of previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word. PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and instructional software.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
• Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Physical/Travel Requirements of Trainer

• Must possess ability to sit, stand, walk, run, climb stairs and lifts weights of up to 30lbs.

• Candidates who are successfully hired, must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training which concludes with a written and verbal test, and you will be evaluated on conducting a proper physical restraint.
