A Swing Driver (Delivery Driver) drives an On-Premise route and efficiently delivers product to customers in a safe and timely manner that meets company standards while providing the highest standard of service to all accounts. Safely drives all company vehicles and operates company equipment in compliance with safety and DOT regulations. This role is part of the Operations - Delivery team. Here's more of what you will do: Completes deliveries to all scheduled accounts in accordance with Delivery Service Guidelines while adhering to all federal, state and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of the Andrews portfolio of products. Unloads, loads, and moves product repetitively using appropriate equipment throughout shift while maintaining a clean, clutter-free and organized work area and backroom in all retail accounts as directed by the daily assigned Route or Swing Driver. Stocks all windows, cold boxes, coolers, hot shelves and displays in retail accounts quickly and efficiently as directed by the Route/Swing Driver. Rotates product to ensure quality standards are maintained. Adheres to Andrews Guidelines as required. Adheres to and administers Swap and Drop procedure if needed. Maintains necessary documentation and submits reports as needed providing delivery information, damaged product, returns and inventory control. Performs all delivery duties in a friendly, professional manner. Maintains all company equipment and vehicles in good condition and appearance. Completes pre/post-trip daily vehicle inspections to ensure all are in good condition and appearance is acceptable. Adheres to all applicable driving and safety regulations. Validates and completes the customer order delivery at each customer account on daily route. Checks and verifies product order with customer for accuracy and quality. Collects payment when necessary and obtains signature on receipt of delivery. Performs required inventory/merchandising tasks as applicable in each customer account. Manages and provides direction to assigned Delivery Assistant to ensure proper product handling and delivery, and exceptional customer service. Provides in market direction to ensure the Delivery Assistant understands and can perform their support role. This list is not all inclusive of other tasks and subtasks that may be necessary in performing this role, but rather an overview of the role’s primary work tasks. CAPABILITIES A Delivery Driver has a greater opportunity to succeed if they can develop and master the following job-related capabilities: SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to Operate Pallet Jack, Lift Gate and Other Required Equipment Ability to Operate a Commercial Truck Ability to Organize and Prioritize Workload Ability to Perform Basic Math and Write Legibly Ability to Solve Problems and Develop Potential Solutions Ability to Use a Dolly Ability to Work Steadily at a Fast Pace to Meet Time Schedules and Deadlines Attention to Detail Skills Communication and Interpersonal Skills Customer Service Skills Reading Comprehension Skills Supervisory Skills Teamwork Skills Technical Aptitude/Hand-held Equipment/Printer Training and Mentoring Skills QUALIFICATIONS A qualified candidate for the Delivery Driver role should satisfy the expectations below: REQUIRED Class A CDL License Previous Commercial Driving Experience High School Graduate or Equivalent Certificate Ability to Perform in a Physically Demanding Role on a Daily Basis; and Work in Extreme Weather Conditions PREFERRED Previous Distribution Business Experience Previous Intrastate Driving Experience Good Communication Skills Prior Beer Industry Experience Previous CPG and/or Sales Experience Previous Physically Demanding Work Experience Physical Requirements & Essential Functions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to pull/push a load up to 165 lbs. Requires heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products up to 165 lbs. Driving may be required during the workday. Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices. Must be able to maintain a current/valid Texas driver's license. Potential candidates are required to successfully complete a medical evaluation including a physical evaluation designed to test ability to perform basic physical job requirements.
