Role: Bookkeeper / Accounting Associate

Location: Greater Miami / Southeast FL

We are looking for candidates for the position of Bookkeeper at Andes STR. The person will work in the Greater Miami / SE FL area and will be responsible for the bookkeeping in our Florida markets.

Join an exciting team of professionals as we look to revolutionize how people invest in short-term rentals (STR). The ideal candidate will be competent in accounting and bookkeeping function, and will be relied upon as a key contributor in the accounting and finance organization of Andes STR. You will work closely with the Controller and local Field Operations Manager in implementing and maintaining best in class bookkeeping and accounting practices.

Requirements / Skills:

• 2 years prior accounting and bookkeeping experience (knows debits/ credits, how to do reconciliations, experience with sales tax)
• Experience fully managing the AP function (e.g., calling and reconciling utilities, HOA registering and fee management)
• Ability to work with municipality (e.g., Miami/Dade, Broward, Palm Beach counties, city municipalities, etc) business tax license setup and reporting
• Strong organization skills (e.g., vendor tracking)
• Strong Microsoft Excel user
• Prior experience using Quickbooks
• Familiar with HR payroll systems

Tasks:

• Day to day bookkeeping
• Phone calls to tax agencies, HOAs, vendors
• Reconciliations with vendor statements, bank accounts
• Owner statement creation assistance
• New vendor setup
• Property insurance and license tracking by date
• Running payroll (using Gusto, payroll software)

Other:

• Primarily remote / work from home
• Need to have reliable transportation, able to travel to Tax Offices (around greater Miami and Southeast FL)

Compensation:

• $20 per hour (depending on experience); opportunity to increase within 90 days of performance
• Mileage / Transportation stipend

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
