Survey CAD Technician

We need you! Anderson Survey Company, Inc. is one of the oldest land survey firms in the Kansas City area with an extensive library of field notes, survey drawings, and survey calculations for every project completed since our founding in 1946. This voluminous library is the basis for much of the land surveying and development of the Kansas City Metropolitan area today.

We need you to complete our skilled land survey team of more than 150 years of combined experience. The Survey CAD Technician will be responsible for preparing land replica drawings from field notes, field data collection, deeds, and legal descriptions. The ideal candidate will be familiar with boundary, topographic, construction and ALTA surveys, while possessing a desire for accuracy, timeliness and individual project plan development.

Other qualifications to be a part of this exciting team include:

• Writing descriptions of property boundary surveys for deeds and other legal documents
• Practical knowledge of common survey practices and standards
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to read plats, legal descriptions, deeds, surveys, etc.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• PLS preferred; but not mandatory
• 3 years CAD experience
• Desire to work for one of the oldest survey firms in the area

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
