ANDERSON POWERSPORTS LLC is Hiring a Parts Advisor (APS) Near Lake, AZ

Anderson Powersports has an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about powersports and loves helping others modify or accessorize their machines! You need to understand or be able to learn about watercraft and offroad vehicles, along with excellent customer service skills. You need to be patient and be able to listen to client’s needs and desires, then recommend and build personalized accessory packages to enhance their experience.


Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Able to interact and get along with all customers.
  • Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient with computers to research parts and equipment.
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Essential Functions

  • Parts Knowledge: Should have a strong understanding of Powersports parts, including compatibility, functionality, and common issues that customers may encounter.
  • Merchandising Skills: An eye for merchandising can greatly enhance the presentation of your parts department, making it easier for customers to find what they need and discover new accessories they might want.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are a must. They should be able to assist customers in finding the right parts, answer questions, and provide recommendations based on the customer’s needs and preferences.
  • Sales Ability: While not necessarily a traditional sales role, being able to upsell and cross-sell accessories or parts that complement what the customer is purchasing can enhance the customer’s experience and increase sales.
  • Technical Aptitude: Some customers may have technical questions or need assistance with installation. Having someone on staff who can provide basic technical assistance or direct customers to resources for more complex issues can be invaluable.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset can help them suggest unique accessories or customization options that customers may not have considered, helping them build the machine of their dreams.
  • Organization: Keeping track of inventory, managing orders, and maintaining a tidy and efficient workspace are all important aspects of working in a parts department.
  • Passion for Powersports: Like any role in the powersports industry, a genuine passion for all things related to watercart and offroad vehicles will drive their enthusiasm and commitment to helping customers achieve their dreams.
  • Problem Solving: Being able to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions to meet clients’ needs, even if it requires thinking outside the box when designing their specific package.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and ensuring they understand the features and benefits of recommended accessories.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position operates mainly in the parts department, working behind the counter or picking out parts.

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department’s working hours. This position regularly requires working some evenings, and weekends.

Travel

May be required to drive from one dealership to another.
