Anderson Hospital is Hiring a MRI/CT MANAGER - CAT SCAN - FT DAYS Near Maryville, IL

Job Summary:

In the absence of the Director provide consistent leadership, communication, and supervision to the MRI/CT staff, assuring quality patient care is maintained at all times. Oversees and maintains digital imaging for efficient operation. Fulfills the job duties of staff technologist.

To apply patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and in accordance with the hospital’s Patent’s Rights policies. Knowledge of the needs of patient according to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patient’s age.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates skill and ability in maintaining departmental operation.

2. Supervises and coordinates staff to accommodate operational requirements.

3. Administers disciplinary action in a fair and equitable manner.

4. Assists in hiring and maintaining staff.

5. Maintains inventory levels to comply with established budget.

6. Completes annual inventory count in a timely manner.

7. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to evaluate employee competency.

8. Establish appropriate in-service for employee training.

9. Coordinates with other departments patient care needs.

10. Maintains patient flow during heavy patient volume.

11. Coordinates staff to minimize patient waits.

12. Manages physician orders and radiology reports

13. Maintains expectation of Image Quality

14. Implementation of Procedures and Procedural changes

15. Coordinates with Charge Master Specialist matching the proper coding with established

procedures.

16. Maintains proper function of equipment and equipment maintenance program

17. Aids in maintaining of PACS systems

18. Educates staff on updates and changes to procedures and materials for proper charging

Education Requirements and Other Requirements:

Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.

Formal Radiographic technology training in AMA approved school.

Certification/Licensure: Must be ARRT registered in MRI and/or CT and IEMA licensed unrestricted if applicable.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in MRI or CT preferred

Working Conditions:

Extensive walking, standing, pushing and/or lifting medium to heavy weight.

Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues: Al procedures or other

Job related tasks that involve inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them are Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures should be required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
