Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dermatology office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our dermatologists, nurses, and other medical staff. You will assist in delivering high-quality patient care, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. APPLICANT MUST HAVE MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERINENCE.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist dermatologists and nurses in patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain their medical history, including current medications and allergies.
  • Perform basic dermatological procedures under the supervision of medical professionals, such as wound care, suture removal, and sample collection.
  • Prepare and organize medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
  • Educate patients on skincare regimens, medication instructions, and post-treatment care.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment.
  • Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a dermatology or specialty clinic.
  • Solid knowledge of dermatology procedures, medical terminology, and basic clinical skills.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
