ANDERSON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE INC is Hiring a Speech Pathology Near Anderson, SC

QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Speech Pathology; South Carolina Certification
OR Eligible for Certification
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence OR will provide supervision for
Clinical Fellowship Year; Licensed by SC Board of Examiners preferred but not required
  • Serves Anderson School District 5, SC in Upstate SC—visit district website: anderson5.net
  • Currently have 16 SLP/Ts on staff with a Lead SLP
  • Average caseload is between 50-55 students
  • Salary—Teacher Salary Schedule (available on district website)
  • CF supervision available
  • Support and mentoring for new hires
  • Monthly speech department meetings
  • Each SLP/T has a laptop and tablets for assistance during speech therapy
  • SLPs have duty free schedules
  • $3500.00 stipend for Speech Therapists
  • Annual Paid Professional Development
$3,000.00 signing Bonus
QUALIFICATIONS: Current South Carolina certification in Speech
REPORTS TO: Principals as assigned/ Director of Special Educationa
JOB GOAL: To provide quality services for the maximum intervention of speech/language disabilities
Performance Responsibilities
  • Screens, evaluates, and diagnoses speech/language disorders and determines student eligibility for enrollment in the speech/language program.
  • Develops goals, objectives, methods, and materials to assist students in achieving their highest potential.
  • Provides speech/language services in full compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains student records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Consults with principals, clinicians, teachers, parents, and other agencies as needed.
  • Strives to maintain and improve professional competency.
  • Attends school and district staff meetings and serves on committees as required.
  • Participates in staff development programs.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
