Clinical Assistant

The Clinical Assistant aids in the smooth operation of the reception area and clinic at the birth center on a daily basis, providing friendly and warm reception to all clients and guests that call or enter the birth center.

QUALIFICATIONS
● High School Diploma or G.E.D.
● Previous medical office or customer service work experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality and Scheduling:

• Create a welcoming, inclusive, personalized experience for all clients and visitors at the birth center
• Greet clients as they arrive and check in, accept payments as needed and notify clinic team of arrival
• Manage clinic schedule, making appointments for new and returning clients
• Contacting clients who miss appointments to reschedule
• Answering phone calls, managing voicemail, and answering initial questions about birth center care

Client Record Maintenance:

• Create charts in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Request client medical records from previous providers
• Scan and upload clinical documents to EMR

Facility Care:

• Perform daily opening and closing procedures for reception area
• Assist with birth center maintenance (stocking, tidying, cleanliness)

HOURS
● Generally Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm

SALARY
$30,000-40,000 per year depending on experience
