What is a technician?

Ancon provides industrial cleaning and related services to customers such as refineries and power plants. Working on the team is always rewarding, is often adventurous, but isn’t always easy. Technicians that do best are those that can accept the challenge of working conditions that include being outside, at heights, in confined spaces, in heat and able to follow safe work procedures.

What are the Qualifications for the Tech position?

• • Technicians ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all time
  • Technicians perform work using high pressure water blasting equipment up to 40, 000 PSI to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipes, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.)
  • Technicians clean work area and equipment after work is completed
  • Technicians practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working
  • Technicians assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area
  • Technicians perform labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the day

 REQUIREMENTS:

• 6 months of previous industrial experience is a plus, however, willing to train the right person!
• Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.)
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card (subject to federal background) required
• RSO training preferred
• Ability to wear a Respirator (clean shaven a must)
• Ability to travel when required
• Must pass the pre-employment screening required (physical, background check and drug screening)

*The overall technician pay range is $18-22 depending on experience.
