Reports to: Master Electrician

Overview:

ANCO is looking for dedicated Electricians seeking a fulfilling career working on a variety of commercial projects. ANCO offers mentorship, career progression, great pay, and benefits. As an Electrical Apprentice you will enter an evolving trade that will provide new challenges and rewards each day, working under the observation of a Journeyman Electrician to build basic skills through hands-on training.

Duties/Responsibilities Electrical Apprentice:

• Assists Electricians in completing supervised work which complies with current NEC Code
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and equipment.
• Installing and replacing conduits, and circuit breakers.
• Testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Assists Electricians in installing and testing Fire Alarm and Communications Systems.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Expected to enroll in and attend Apprentice Schooling

Skills and Physical Requirements:

• Must have a high mechanical aptitude, good with their hands, organized and analytical.
• Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Must possess physical strength to pull wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
