Looking for someone great to join our expanding team! Most of our treatment coordinators are social workers, but other human services bachelors degrees are considered. 1 year of experience working with those who have substance use disorder is preferred
Anchorage is a residential treatment center for those with substance use disorder and mental health conditions. The Treatment Coordinator collaborates with clients, clinical staff, community-based resources, and others, to provide treatment services according to the treatment plan while considering cultural differences and special needs of clients to help obtain stable, supportive discharge plans including housing, treatment and medical services. Knowledge on Minnesota assistance/resources recommended.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
1. Must have either:
(i) a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields; or
(ii) current certification as an alcohol and drug counselor, level I, by the Upper Midwest Indian Council on Addictive Disorders;
2. A minimum of 2,000 hours of supervised experience working with individuals with substance use disorder.
3. Have successfully completed 30 hours of classroom instruction on care coordination for an individual with substance use disorder is strongly preferred. ( If not we will arrange for this training after hire). This is a state recognized certificate
4. Computer literacy is required; proficiency is desirable but not required.
5. Prior experience with an Electronic Health Records (Procentive) system strongly preferred.
6. Must be able to maintain positive public relations with referring agencies and the business community at large.
7. Must possess good verbal skills and be capable of presenting positive professional image.
8. Must have a working knowledge of issues regarding confidentiality.
9. At the time of hiring, must be free of problematic substance use for at least the two years immediately preceding and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
10. Background check through the Department of Human Services.
