  • Christine, Director of Digital Marketing: New Systems Creator, DM Team Facilitator/Teeth-Brushing Ongoing Facilitation and Reporting, Content Calendar, Expert in Tech Stack/Resources
  • John, Chief Strategy Officer: Strategy team operations and Communications Bridge, Hubspot Deals/Pipeline Manager
  • Lilly, CEO: Big picture vision/message and paint what done looks like, creative collaboration, tone and voice of brand, promotions/campaigns focus decisions, ‘face of company’ in person/video/role/educator.
  • Jill, Vice President: Creative operations, new product development and communications, collaborator as ‘face of company’ in person/video/role/educator.

Role (overview of the position):

Responsible for implementing and coordinating the campaigns and initiatives in Anchor Wave’s marketing and sales systems. The start position of this role is focused on implementing established strategies, as well as creating consistency and stability between various resources. This role has the potential to grow in scope and leadership competencies.

A Day In The Life of a Marketing Implementer: (painting the picture in human terms)

While you will find that the full agency has a marketing mindset and therefor there are a lot of cooks in this kitchen, we are looking for someone to bring strength and attention to our own growth, brand and marketing activities.

You will find a day filled with team huddles, moving projects forward through communications and hands-on work, and measuring against strategic objectives. It will look like a mix of tackling your own to do list inside Facebook Business Manager or Hubspot to complete the tactical side of things. It will be sharing results or inputting data so that the Sales or Management team can view progress. It might include corresponding via Zoom/Email/Phone with an internal team member or outsourced vendor to move an initiative forward. You will use your calendar and our project management tool to stay organized, and you’ll likely develop a quarterly mindset in regards to your planning and project timeframes along with the rest of the team.

Lastly but not least, you’ll participate in 1:1 coaching, coffee buddy meetups with various teammates, and lean into professional development and educational opportunities on a regular basis!

Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role):

  • Work with the Marketing Team to develop initiatives (OTAs) on a quarterly basis to drive leads and conversions, Participate in projects improving specific aspects of the “5 Core Functions” of Anchor Wave every quarter (detailed below)
  • Deploying and improving campaigns targeted for immediate marketing focus (detailed below)
  • Reporting to the CEO for coaching, vision casting, cross-department connectivity
  • Leading and supporting any subcontractors or team members who report to the Marketing Team in achieving the objectives laid out in Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Or Yearly planning sessions

Results (expected accomplishments of the Marketing Team):

  • Improving specifically targeted aspects of the “5 Core Functions” of Anchor Wave identified in 90 Day Goals planning sessions every quarter:
    • Lead Generation
      • More leads and more vehicles/hooks for generating leads
      • Better quality leads
      • Lowering or maintaining cost per lead while improving quality
    • Lead Nurture
      • More variety of engagement to build desire and educate prospects
      • More consistent nurture across more channels to stay “omnipresent” in prospects web experience
    • Conversion
      • New or improved conversion processes
      • Increasing lead to sale conversion percentage
      • Increasing number of conversions and average conversion value
    • Delivery
      • Improving any marketing related delivery processes (producing better results for clients wherever possible)
    • Resell, upsell, retention
      • Creating or improving systems to increase customer lifetime value
      • Tracking and improving customer churn rate
  • Deploying and improving: Campaigns Identified/Immediate Marketing Focus
  • Funnels and Paid Advertising (Direct Implementation and Leveraged Adwords Support)
    • Developing and deploying new funnels for lead generation, lead nurture, sales ascension (appointment booking), and conversion
    • Improving existing funnels over time to produce higher conversions
    • Create, Implement and Report on outcomes of Paid PPC, and FB Campaigns
  • Tracking/Testing (Hubspot/With Support from CEO/Sales)
    • Tracking all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and creating consistent reports, including CPC, CPL, CPA (cost per click, lead, acquisition) and ROAS (return on ad spend)
    • Consistently testing potential improvements at key places in the funnel or sales processes to improve KPIs
  • Brand
    • Clarifying the imagery/story and subtle communications of brand to meet the demographics and psychographics of target audience
      • Refining client avatar(s) and connective marketing messages
    • Creation, design and production of branded campaign materials with collaboration/delivery from internal design team
  • Audience Nurture
    • Increasing consistency, approachability, and value of customer nurture process
    • Educating customers and coaching them into clients over time
    • Increasing variety of nurture and using it to increase desire for leads to to become customers
  • Deploying and improving: Future Growth/Collaboration With Marketing Team Leads
  • MarketingHub/SEO (Currently DM/Dir of Mktg)
    • Developing and deploying a consistent SEO driven content strategy
    • Developing, deploying and improving off-site SEO strategies for increasing search rank, local maps and organic traffic
  • Social Media (Currently DM/Dir of Mktg)
    • Consistently nurturing and engaging with leads via social media
    • Generating leads from social media via paid and organic
  • Partnerships (Currently CEO/Sales team)
    • Developing win-win partnerships with other targeted local or multi-location businesses
    • Finding/engaging with relevant strategic alliances with Anchor Wave
    • Leveraging of the ClickFunnels partnership

Requirements (expected proficiencies):

  • Strong digital marketing background (5 years of hands on experience) with comprehensive understanding of all aspects of digital marketing outlined above
  • Hands on experience in running Facebook Ad Campaigns
  • Resourceful and action-minded implementer of ideas, processes, and iterations
  • Ability to come up to speed quickly with new technologies, systems and processes.
  • Leader who has lead teams or outsourced vendors of 1-3 or more before
  • High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills
  • Creative thinker, who is also technically savvy and able to execute their vision
  • Systems oriented thinker who can combine the right people, process, and technology to create sustainable results

Nice-to-have/Bonus Competencies:

  • ClickFunnels, HubSpot, Active Campaign and other related technologies.
  • Hands on sales experience, preferably with high ticket sales
  • Experience in one or more creative avenues such as photography,
