Anatek Labs Inc is Hiring a Laboratory Analyst Near Spokane, WA

Analytical Chemist needed full time for private environmental lab. Degree in Chemistry or closely related field required. This entry level position is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with a science degree. This position is Monday-Friday 8-5. Salary DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow established laboratory procedures, safety policies and best laboratory practices
  • Conduct routine testing on drinking water, waste water, and other raw materials using various chemical and physical test methods
  • Perform basic instrument calibration and maintain calibration logs
  • Prepare standards, reagents, and solutions used in laboratory procedures
  • Interpret and enter test and calibration results into Laboratory Information Management database
  • Ensure that established sample turnaround times are met
  • Follow quality control procedures as outlined in Quality Assurance Manual
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS degree in Chemistry or related science field with at least 24 credit hours in chemistry including the successful completion of courses in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related
  • Excellent attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Ability to contribute to a safe work culture
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be meticulous and able to work independently and safely
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation preferred
  • Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
