The Cloud and Datacenter Power business unit is looking for an experienced firmware engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO, developing our next-generation multiphase buck VR solutions for the datacenter and communications market. The ideal candidate has 8 years of SoC / ASIC experience defining, implementing, and verifying firmware for digital and mixed-signal designs. Analog Devices offers a Flexible Work policy which includes remote work days and alternative schedule options. The Austin, TX and San Jose, CA Analog Device design center locations are possible alternatives to the preferred Colorado Springs design center.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Designing, Developing and Validating embedded assembly and C code firmware and low-level system software for chips and products used for power delivery.
  • Understanding sub-system requirements and validating chip/system operations.
  • Testing and Debugging embedded firmware through verilog simulations, and on FPGA-based emulation platforms and chips using lab equipment and lab automation.
  • Delivering quality embedded system firmware with very good documentation.
  • Following and Enhancing coding standards and documentation requirements.
  • Participating in code reviews.
  • Knowledge of software development tool chains and best practices.
  • Understanding of power management and power delivery.
  • Working with analog, digital and system designers, product definers and applications engineers, and other company software team members.
  • Solid understanding of security algorithms.
In addition, the ideal candidate will also have experience with:
  • Object-oriented programming, SystemVerilog, C , Python programming.
  • Knowledge of multi-phase power converters and power architecture for the Cloud and Data Center market.
  • Development of standalone helper tools and flow glue scripts using python.
  • 8/32 bit embedded microcontrollers (8051, ARM, RiscV).
  • Embedded software development paradigms (Keil, Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.)
  • Developing, documenting, rationalizing and presenting system requirements to a diverse audience of engineers.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities to deliver on schedule.
  • Lab skills including debug use of scope, logic analyzer, etc.

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $114,855 to $163,448.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
