Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Sr. Manager, IT & Procurement  to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of AI, data science and machine learning. As our Sr. Manager, IT & Procurement you will play a crucial role in overseeing both the technology infrastructure and procurement processes within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that our IT systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with our business objectives, while also managing the procurement of goods and services to support our operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a keen understanding of procurement practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications
  • Oversee automation and scaling of systems and processes for both technical and non-technical areas of the organization.
  • Manage IT budgets, including forecasting, planning, and cost control measures.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best terms and pricing for goods and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in IT management and procurement roles, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira Service Desk, Jira Software, and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively leading teams and driving results.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in IT and procurement.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization
  • Exceptionally ability to work cross functionally.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in an AI, open-source or data science-oriented company
  • Experience and familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, Tropic, and MacOS.
  • Experience using AI to enhance automation and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, PMP, or CPSM.
