We are currently seeking a Nursing Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Associate Dean of Nursing in the administrative and operational work of the nursing programs online and ground operations. Some main function consists of planning, organizing, executing, and directing the development and strengthening of academic programs, managing the clinical placement process, and coordinating the remedial activities and NCLEX preparation program in accordance with the established norms, policies, and procedures and in compliance with the accrediting agencies. • Collaborates with the campuses Directors of Nursing on all aspects of the clinical placement process and ensures effective operation of clinical practicums by organizing, supervising, and evaluating clinical sites, preceptors & students. 
• Collaborate in the development and review of the course programming of nursing programs in accordance with established procedures.
• Works closely with the director of clinical & lab operations to ensure the operation of clinical practicums, safeguarding efficient and effective student advising during clinical practice.
• Monitor student placements and clinical records.
• Maintain regular contact with nursing colleagues, constituents, and preceptors at different clinical sites to ensure timely placement and to further relationships with partner institutions.
• Maintain, obtain, and manage contracts mandatory legal documentation (license verification, liability insurance, qualifications of preceptors, preceptor orientation, etc.).
• Coordinate clinical placements for all assigned programs for incoming and continuing students.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of the Nursing faculty development plans.
• Collaborates in the design and development of training for faculty and staff on nursing practice protocol, allied and professional health practice, and delivery of the curriculum.
• Provides onboarding/orientation for preceptors and ensures clear objectives & expectations for students and preceptors.
• Implements and coordinates the remedial preparation program for the HESI, HESI A2 and the NCLEX exams. 
• Collaborates with the student success coach in the tracking and monitoring of nursing students’ satisfactory academic progress, retention, readiness to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam, and job placement.
• Prepare and compile reports and communicate data to appropriate stakeholders. 
• Manages the clinical facility agreements and related records.
• Performs periodic records audits.
• Works collaboratively with administrative personnel on the program’s planning, evaluation, and implementation process to promote program effectiveness and growth.
• Ensures adequacy of clinical evaluation tools and methods within the program to determine consistency with learning outcomes & objectives.
• Participates in nursing department committees related to the program and accreditation processes.
• Collaborates in the evaluation and referral of candidates for the positions required for the program’s operations and participate in the recruitment processes. 
• Completes accreditation and regulatory reports.
• Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current Florida RN license.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent) with the ability to communicate complex information simply, both verbally and written highly preferred.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the administrative staff, faculty, and students.
