HireArt is helping an automotive R&D company find an IT Help Desk Analyst to join its Information Technology (IT) team, which implements the tools and infrastructure necessary to support the company's fast-growing and dedicated team of professionals.
As a member of the IT team, you'll help build out the company's infrastructure as it grows and also support a highly technical user base, which uses a diverse collection of complex software/hardware engineering tools.
We're looking for top performing IT professionals, who have broad-based experience supporting software/hardware engineering and research teams. The successful candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and quickly adapts to learn the latest technologies.
As an IT Help Desk Analyst, you'll:

• Onboarding and offboarding users.
• Imaging laptops and desktops with appropriate OS (e.g. MacOS, Windows, Ubuntu Linux, etc.)
• Maintain the availability and security of infrastructure through routine maintenance and patching of systems.
• Manage and keep up-to-date department inventory, including hardware, software, IP addresses, domains, certificates, etc.
• Maintain and manage audio-visual systems.
• Identify problems that need escalation, gather facts, and escalate to Tier-2 team appropriately.
• Support the roll-out of end-user software and systems management tools.
• Work with facilities on day-to-day needs.
• Work with the IT Development team on task automation.
• Provide world-class support during core company hours.
• Manage and maintain the new-user onboarding process.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
• 5 years of experience in a related position
• Experience supporting Ubuntu Linux, MacOS, and Windows desktop environments
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow is preferred)
• Experience with Google workspace and Google meet hardware
• Experience with basic network troubleshooting
• Communicates clearly and concisely, both written and verbally, to a variety of audiences
• Experience with Automox, JAMF, and other endpoint management platforms a plus

Commitment: This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It is open to candidates local to Los Altos, CA.
