We are looking for a skilled Database Developer with extensive experience in Oracle and Postgres databases, coupled with proficiency in Java SpringBoot development. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions while also contributing to the development of Java SpringBoot applications. Experience in data modeling and migrating between Oracle/Postgres as well as familiarity with HCL Commerce and DB2 is highly desirable, as the position will involve working on projects related to this platform.

* Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Oracle and Postgres databases.
* Optimize database performance, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Develop and maintain Java SpringBoot applications, integrating them seamlessly with the underlying databases.
* Implement data migration, transformation, and integration processes as required.
* Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure optimal performance.
* Conduct thorough testing and debugging of database and application components.
* Document database schemas, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance database and application development processes.

Required Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field* Ability to hold a Department of Defense security clearance is required* Obtaining a CompTIA Security certification will be required as part of the position* Proven experience as a Database Developer, with expertise in Oracle and Postgres databases* Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and optimization techniques* Proficiency in Java SpringBoot development, including hands-on experience in building RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

* Familiarity with HCL Commerce v9 * DoD, DLA and/or federal government experience* Large Application Support Experience * Agile Development Knowledge

Salary: 135,000-165,000
