Overview

The Senior People Analytics Manager leverages insights into our people and organizational data that will allow for an improved decision-making process at both an operational and strategic level. Works collaboratively with HR functions, IT, Finance and the business organization to understand specific people and data challenges to improve use of best practices within the organization. Utilizes working knowledge of Workday to create data models, dashboards and other user-friendly tools and applications. Helps develop the people analytics function to provide in-depth reviews of Diversity and Inclusion, talent management, employee sentiment and engagement, and other areas related to HR. Makes recommendations based on identification and analysis of business and people data trends and assessment. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities
    The position collaborates with HR and business functional areas to coordinate blending people and business data from Workday and other multiple sources for unified and streamlined reporting, and looks to identify cross-functional opportunities to either simplify, or improve, current processes
  • Learns business processes and understand relevant data; should be adept and evaluating and pivoting very large data sets, with an ability to spot trends and present business insights
  • Prepares deliverables for, and collaborate with, senior HR and team leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Design and build reporting and dashboarding solutions
  • Work with subject matter experts to generate reporting requirements
  • Work with IT resources to test and validate processes, report building, process automation, and dashboard development
  • Continuously researches, test and stays up-to-date on all system updates and fixes
  • Maintains up-to-date user system documentation, communications and training materials
  • Keeps current with market trends and demands.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4 years experience with Workday as HRIS or HR Business Analyst
  • 3 years financial or operational analytical experience
  • Proficiency in using reporting tools and software in data analysis and communication (Excel and/or R)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and results driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and data problem solving skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and play an active role in cross-functional work
  • Experience with Office particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strongly understanding of statistical concepts and methods
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex data analysis results to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning techniques

Preferred:

  • Experience with Workday Reporting, calculated fields, and Discovery Boards
