Our store managers play a critical role in our stores success. They ensure we recruit, develop, retain, and train our team members to be consistent in delivering excellent customer service. They are responsible for providing a positive customer experience through every aspect of the operation of the store. Store manager objectives are to show consistent sales growth and ensure their store projects the proper company image. They must also follow policies and procedures aimed at efficiently operating the store as a profit center.

Store Manager Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, train and engage crew team daily to deliver superior levels of customer care/service and business results
  • Personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to accomplish business goals
  • Leadership skills to motivate a team and interact with that team to provide exceptional customer service
  • Time management: manage time schedules for employees and be able to address employees who are not using their time effectively
  • Identify new customers and revenue opportunities for the store
  • Ability to prioritize, follow direction, delegate tasks, and multi-task
  • Ensure customer sales and service needs are met daily; building and expanding accounts and relationships; help outside sales in identifying, developing, and maintaining wholesale accounts
  • Responsible for implementing operating procedures and policies
  • Reporting and daily paperwork
  • Steer and guide others towards continuous improvement in processes and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain individual/team development and communication to ensure overall productivity
  • Utilize company incentives, performance counseling and correctional measures when required
  • Engaging in all store operations/departments; willingness to dive in and work in all aspects of each department
  • Enjoy creating a superior customer service experience to achieve maximum market penetration, drive store growth, increase sales and profitability
  • Know the importance of partnering with your team to drive store initiatives
  • Grow customer relationships, help with sales/service questions, and ensure a positive experience both in the store and on the phone

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Automotive Technical or Trade school courses or degree preferred but not required
  • ASE (P2) parts certification preferred but not required
  • Automotive parts experience; automotive background preferred
  • Retail management/team leadership experience required
  • Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or hobby/DIY world, willingness to learn all things automotive
  • Passion for delivering customer care, and building long term relationships
  • Computer / Technology savvy, ability to embrace new technology as it changes
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
  • Ability to sustain a flexible work schedule
