Mechanical Engineer III

Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will investigate, develop, validate and implement design solutions for school bus systems, including the bus body structure and trim components. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Use Creo to develop 3D models, component and installation drawings, and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication and other departments to implement manufacturable design solutions that support our current product.
• Interface with Test & Compliance personnel to prototype new systems, perform development testing and apply test results to new designs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required
2-4 years experience required at minimum experience
3D modeling experience required is required
Any experience in engineering work would be considered relevant (possibly manufacturing)
Verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem solving ability.
Ability to make sketches, engineering Product design experience preferred.
