Paid Time Off:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Director - Service Line Controller works under the direction of the Assistant Controller to manage a service line division within the AMSURG Accounting team, ensuring general accounting accuracy and timely month-end close.

Work Schedule: This position is offered on a Remote-Centric Hybrid basis with the expectation that you will be required to come to our office in the Green Hills section of Nashville formally once monthly, and as needed to attend training and meetings.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurate and timely completeness of divisional financial information in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and lead a team of accountants responsible for the divisional books and records. Provide leadership, guidance, development and mentoring, and support.
• Monitor, maintain, and administer cash oversight for multiple joint-venture arrangements.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership, assisting in decision-making processes.
• Through internal controls, establish and maintain an environment that ensures the ability to efficiently conduct business while safeguarding assigned division assets.
• Lead the development of process efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Lead special projects and ensure their completion within established deadlines.
• Present financial data and other information in large meetings to a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other accounting teams and departments.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Ability to travel from time to time.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required:

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and address challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year accredited College or University.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 8 years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting management experience in an organization of similar scale, including overseeing accounting and cash management for multiple joint-venture arrangements with majority and minority ownership positions.
• Hands-on experience applying the provisions of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
