**This role is ONSITE working at 1701 Northwind Hwy Hobart, IN 46342 6:00pm - 6:00am**
Summary: The Senior Press Operator is responsible for responsible for preparing digital files for printing on large-scale media such as banners, billboards, signage, and other oversized prints.
Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to print press scheduling, efficiency and quality requirements.
  • Checking and adjusting artwork for printability, ensuring colors are accurate, converting file formats, setting up layouts, and performing minor edits or enhancements to optimize the final output.
  • Adhere to all press Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Perform emergency equipment maintenance as required.
  • Perform daily press maintenance specific to each device
  • Complete departmental daily tasks including but not limited to housekeeping, communication and printing operations.
  • Communications with other operators on current shift as well as other shifts.
  • Data entry of jobs being processed in Amsive ERP (Monarch).
  • Ability to percept colors at a high level.
  • Operation of forklift for the purpose of retrieving materials, returning materials and moving printed goods to staging.
  • Assist in special duties and projects as required by Management.
Requirements:

  • Work experience in the field of large format printing or graphics printing
  • Working knowledge of digital, and large format printing processes
  • A strong attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and basic computer skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Work Environment: Work in Manufacturing environment that can be loud and is fast paced

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. 
Body Positions: Frequently required to stand and walk with infrequent and limited time sitting.
Body Movements: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands & fingers to handle or feel objects, bending, reaching with hands and arms, and crouching.
 
Body Senses: Must have command of the following senses: sight, hearing, speech and touch. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distant vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to distinguish minor color variations.
Strength: Occasionally must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. 2nd Shift hours are 6:00pm – 6:00am. Working 12 hour days, with a rotation of 3 days on and 4 days off and vise versa.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
