AmShield Insurance Operations Manager $84,027- $123,436 / year Job Level: Manager What You Will Be Doing: The Insurance Operations Manager is responsible for managing supervisors who oversee teams of claims adjusters and underwriters, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of claims and underwritten policies. Participates with AmShield supervisors in the selection, hiring and training of new employees, and performs personnel-related functions for employees, including regular performance reviews and initiating promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, terminations, and salary recommendations. Develops and implements strategies to optimize departmental performance, mitigate risks, and enhance customer satisfaction. Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Credit Bureau Report may be ordered on final candidates. What We're Looking For: Typically requires minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance claims and/or underwriting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations, with a focus on property and casualty insurance. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and deliver outstanding results. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Proven track record of driving process improvements, managing risks, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Proficiency in insurance claims and underwriting software systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities with ease. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
