Position Overview:
As the RN Manager of the Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our fast-paced emergency setting. You will lead a team of dedicated nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Emergency Department staff, including nurses, technicians, and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Emergency Department, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency services.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care, promoting initiatives to minimize risks and prevent adverse events.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes for Emergency Department staff.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to staff, promoting professional development and advancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across the continuum, including admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
  • Act as a liaison between the Emergency Department, other hospital departments, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless care transitions and interdisciplinary communication.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in emergency nursing, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, quality improvement principles, and best practices in emergency care.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
