EVENT SET UP LEAD

Metro Detroit - main office Troy, MI

We are seeking a responsible, organized, customer service oriented team supervisor to join our customers team in Troy, MI.

The Supervisor will be responsible for training new event set up team members, coordinating and ensuring events are set up correctly and on time.

This person will also be responsible for warehouse organization, light maintenance on trailers or other items, managing jobs and towing trailers, driving box trucks and hi los.

• Follow venue diagrams to successfully set up events.
• Drive company trailer to events - CDL required
• Experience with fixing, maintenance etc. on items such as trailers, tables etc.
• Set up tables, chairs, and other required equipment.
• Work with outside vendors with set up / installation of rented equipment such as tents and staging.
• Assist with dropping linens, polishing glassware and silverware, and setting tables when needed.
• Help as needed throughout the event. This includes, but not limited to, fixing or replacing equipment and running product.
• Tear down or flip venue spaces to prepare for upcoming events.
• Remove and dispose of trash based on guidelines.
• Properly store the tables, chairs, and equipment while not in use.
• Ensure the space is clean and free of any debris.
• Meet expectations of proper setup, breakdown, and cleanup of each event.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Follow health and safety practices at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Requirements :

• Experience towing trailers, CDL license required.
• Physically able to lift heavy objects and move them from one location to another.
• Ability to work varied hours / days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Ideal candidate is a team player, personable, professional, upbeat and energetic, and takes initiative.
