Responsibilities
- Collect samples from designated locations following standardized procedures and guidelines
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples to maintain integrity and prevent contamination
- Package samples for transportation to the laboratory, completing all required documentation accurately
- Maintain meticulous records of sample collection, including relevant observations and location information
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Collaborate with scientists and team members to troubleshoot any issues related to sample collection and processing
- Assist with data entry and analysis as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Prior experience in a laboratory or field sampling environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius as required
