As our Engineering Coop, you will provide direct hands-on support to the Connector Solutions Engineering team dedicated to developing and sustaining multiple electrical connector types. APCD's Connector Solutions offerings include our Core Product terminal junction modules, splices, relay sockets, circular and rectangular interconnects, and our In Flight Entertainment Systems solutions, with new and emerging markets in our current plans. This role offers a little bit of everything, from preparing CAD to getting your hands dirty in the lab and on the floor.

This is a 6-month (July-December) full-time opportunity for 1st or 2nd year students enrolled in an accredited Engineering program. 

Essential Functions:

• Create and modify 3D part/assembly models and 2D drawings with Creo
• Support customization of electronic junction offerings from request through release
• Provide technical support to production and assist in fabrication of components, assemblies, jigs, and fixtures
• 3D printing and prototyping, hands-on involvement with new products during development cycles
• Perform evaluation tests and troubleshoot new or existing product issues
• Work in cross-functional teams with members of Manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, and Quality depts.
• Participate in team exercises such as design reviews, product training, and collaboration between different engineering disciplines

Required Skills/Qualifications (mandatory on resume):

• 3D solid modeling experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Relevant coursework in Mechanical and Material Studies
