Ampere Computing is Hiring an Immigration & Relocation Program Manager Near Santa Clara, CA

The Role:

Ampere is looking for a talented Mobility Program Manager to join our People and Culture team. As the Mobility Program Manager, you will lead our company in building and strengthening our Immigration and Relocation programs to facilitate the immigration sponsorship of high skilled talent and the mobility of our global workforce. The position provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will have immense opportunity to put your immigration, relocation, project management, and program management knowledge & skills into practice to ensure our company needs are addressed.

What you will do:

  • Support the hiring and retention of high-skilled talent and the mobility of Ampere personnel through strategic, innovative, compliant, efficient, cost-effective immigration and relocation programs.
  • Coordinate Ampere’s immigration legal compliance through development and maintenance of compliant and efficient processes, systems, and training in partnership with Ampere Legal and external immigration counsel.
  • Ensure cost-effective and strategic immigration and relocation services for Ampere and its employees through effective oversight of immigration and relocation service providers, data metrics and quality indicators, defined service level agreements (SLA), regular operations/service reviews, and process improvement plans.
  • Partner with other Ampere functions (e.g., compensation, benefits, finance, talent acquisition, people partners, legal, facilities and IT) to support immigration and relocation program management, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Provide proactive, clear, and concise immigration and relocation related communications for employees and stakeholders to ensure understanding of the immigration environment, immigration and relocation program resources/requirements, and functional roles and responsibilities relating to immigration and relocation.
  • Research and resolve complex issues accurately while creating a positive yet seamless user experience for employees.
  • Design, develop, and deploy our internal business processes to ensure our employee experiences are delivered flawlessly throughout both immigration and relocation.
  • Research and benchmark industry trends and partner with our vendors and legal service providers.

What you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience within mobility services; an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) with at least 3 years of relevant experience also accepted.
  • 3 years in Law Firm/Vendor management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including SharePoint Online and ability to learn and utilize vendor management/payment programs
  • Strong domestic and international knowledge of and experience with employee mobility with immigration and relocation
  • Passion around proactively communicating and providing timely, excellent customer service to our employees and the management team
  • An energetic and collaborative approach to work with internal teams from People & Culture, IT, Finance, and business units
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, matrixed team with the ability to flex and learn as the demands shifts
  • High attention to detail with strong problem solving and project/program management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to empathize with employees
  • Strong program/project management skills.
  • Ability to constructively partner and influence others to achieve results
  • A true passion for delivering a great customer experience
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to country norms, global cultures and practices
  • A high level of professionalism and flexibility are required for consultations and issue resolution at varying times during the day (including evening or early mornings)

Benefits & Pay

Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $94,000 and $156,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $106,000 and $176,000. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic equity awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
