Amped Virtual Reality is a 4.9-STAR rated entertainment center with over 40 virtual reality experiences and games. We cater to individuals, families, groups, corporate events, birthday parties and everything in between. We strive to offer an excellent experience with Virtual Reality for many first time users.

We are seeking an outgoing individual to join our team and gain valuable management experience. Candidate must be proactive, a good problem solver, detail oriented, customer service oriented and be willing to learn new skills. This is a great internship opportunity for many different areas of study. We can tailor the job to your specific internship requirements. Salary range is $17-$19/hour depending on experience.

This part-time position would be evenings and weekends until summer hours start in June. During the summer we host STEM based summer camps for youth ages 8 to 13 as well as our regular VR customers. There would be 10 to 15 hours a week available until the summer and then probably around 30 hrs per week during the summer.

The manager would oversee employees and work directly with guests to provide courteous, friendly, and professional assistance / education while enforcing Amped Reality safety regulations. You are the primary person responsible for the fun and safety of everyone at Amped Reality (before, during, and after their visit)and ensuring it is cleaned and well maintained.

Teaching, Coding, and Robotics interest or experience would be desirable.

Job Duties:

• Maintains constant surveillance of guests in the facility: act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of guests. Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency
• Pays complete attention to the floor at all times and is very interactive with the guests.
• Maintains positive relations and rapport with guests, but firm and commands respect.
• Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
• Adheres to Amped Reality practices and policies related to gameplay.
• Helps maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Assists with making reservations, client communications, and gathering client expectations,
• Assist with community education classes that Amped Reality offers either off site or at our location.

Qualifications:

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Must be comfortable using computers and troubleshooting problems
• Responsible for opening and closing the store, including locking up and arming alarm
• Must be willing to teach off site for Community Education based classes
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Availability nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to interact and communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle and resolve reoccurring problems
• Ability to speak in front of groups
• Ability to project voice and be heard in a loud environment
• Ability to inform and enforce rules
• Must Have Reliable Transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
