AMPCUS is Hiring a Technician-Business-Advanced Near Ashburn, VA
Job Description:The responsibility will be to support normal day to day operation which will include installing devices, removing devices, cabling, labeling, escorting vendor/technicians, responding to emergency requests, keeping data center clean, addressing incident tickets, changes and any other miscellaneous requests related with the site.
The candidate will be reporting and take work direction directly from the Hardware Support Product Owner in order to fulfill all the physical work requirements of the Colo site. Depending on work demand, help will be provided as necessary however, the expectation is that normal routine work should be fulfilled by the candidate in the projected time.
Candidate is the only dedicated person at the site, he is expected to be physically onsite everyday Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7AM to 3:30 PM. This may be subject to change at a later date, since client runs production environments on EST schedule, those hours may be shifted to an earlier start time. He will also be required to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis when necessary.
Candidate will be responsible to respond to all Colo related phone calls and inquiries.
The work will occasionally include heavy lifting shifting, moving devices, running cables above and below the cabinets will be required. This will installing cables in the appropriate trays above the racks working on ladders.
There will be requirements for the candidate to support work outside the normal workday hours. When necessary, the candidate will be expected to be onsite during off hours and weekends in order to support the activities requested by our customers.
Candidate should be mindful and responsible for the security of the clients Colo cage, he should be aware of and adhere to all the clients Colo access policies for employees and vendors.
Candidate should be familiar and work with clients applications like SN, ITAM, DCIM and others.
Candidate will be responsible for expediently communicating the progress of his work to the Product Owner and members of the Hardware Team.
