Job Summary

Oversee the function of the maintenance department with a work crew of three.

Responsibilities :

Repair and maintain a variety of heavy and light machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment & provide direction and scheduling of work orders to the department.

Provide support and diagnostics to PLC servo motion control systems

Repair and maintain the buildings and grounds:

Accountable for the quality and productivity of the equipment:

Provide a safe and healthy work place.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

(1) Working In a safe manner: achieving a high level of machine and facility safety and ensure OSHA compliance.

(2) providing support to PLC control systems and diagnostics

(3) daily monitoring of equipment. buildings and grounds

(4) keeping the equipment operating at a high level of quality and productivity

(5) performing periodic maintenance and planned repairs

(6) responding to breakdowns and time constraints in a prompt and effective manner

(7) ensuring proper parts inventory

(8) Keep detailed PM and equipment records for management.

(9) Maintain an orderly maintenance shop

(10) Identify need for and recommend repair and/or replacement

(11) working with all machine and forklift operators

(12) Meeting and planning with management & providing advise and consult with safety committee

Qualifications and Skills

Maintenance Skills: Including but not limited to:

(1) electrical wiring, maintain equipment control panels and switches

(2) Must have electrical knowledge and ability to read electric schematics

(3) experience in high voltage 480V, three phase electricity, and low voltage electricity to include equipment installation and troubleshooting;

(4) Knowledge in compressors, engine and power electronics

(5) Experience in PLC Controls and Electronic Logic systems.

(6) hydraulics motors, hoses and couplings

(7) bearings/drive systems

(8) metal fabrication, welding

(9) carpentry

Capabilities: Including but not limited to:

(1) drive a fork lift and pick-up truck

(2) climb ladders

(3) operate a variety of hand tools and power tools

(4) plan and manage jobs and projects

(5) excellent verbal communication, process improvement, organization, multi-tasking, problem solving, presenting technical information, analyzing information, decision making

Education: Preferred post high-school education/formal training in electrical/electronic systems and PLC controls

Pay: $72,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
