POSITION: Engagement Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Learning and Engagement
FLSA STATUS: ? exempt ? non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate organization’s internal and external engagement events
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree preferred
• At least two years’ proven successful experience in engagement activities.
• Proven success in event planning and execution.
• Experience in hospice care preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
• Ability to work on an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Willingness to work with patients/ families regardless of race, color, creed, age, or sexual orientation. Must respect their beliefs and philosophy with an attitude of openness and receptiveness.
• Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office
• Multi-tasking skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Positive energy and creativity
TRAINING-INITIAL AND ONGOING:
• Complete Hospice orientation program
• Obtain eight hours of continuing education per year, including mandatory safety in-service.
• Attend minimum of six staff meetings per year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in orienting new team members, as requested
• Participate in quality improvement program
• Adhere to strict confidentiality
• Adhere to safety policy and practices
• Complete employee time record accurately on a timely basis
• Cooperate with all government agencies and outside auditors
• Assist with the updating of policies and procedures, as appropriate
• Complete annual TB screening
• Assure all license, certifications, continuing education information and any other required documentation are submitted to human resources and kept current
• Maintain up-to-date documentation required and specified in Hospice policy and procedures
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
• Assist in coordination of staff recognition, special events such as Hospice Month and staff appreciation days
• Assist in planning, scheduling, communicating and preparing for employee engagement activities to include making arrangements for location, food and decorations
• Assist in internal and external recruitment activities as requested
• Assist in planning, scheduling, communicating, and preparing for new hire orientation
• Coordinate all AMOREM staff, community or volunteer engagement activity events including volunteer appreciation
• Participate in Management By Strengths, Energy Bus, Mature Teamwork and other organization training events
• Assist in new hire orientation presentations and new employee hospitality needs as requested
• Coordinate and assist with management of AMOREM’s employee engagement committee
• Assist in developing annual engagement calendar
• PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Visual acuity to read written documentation and computer tasks.
• Speech and hearing skills necessary for telephone interaction and face to face contact
• Ability to sit extended periods of time and perform administrative tasks.
• Ability to stand, bend and lift an average of 30 pounds.
• Manual dexterity with the ability to manipulate office equipment and keyboard for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk, squat, kneel, climb, and balance.

• Must have an automobile with required insurance coverage and state driver’s license.
