NICU attends all C/Sections and any criteria for a compromised baby. RNs should be competent in vaginal exams, as many private MDs. They utilize a “nanny nurse” which is a NICU RN when available to do NN assessments. Deliveries are attended by 2 RNs. Core staff will assume duties of CN, Triage, Nanny Nurse and Scrub.
