Performs role of surgical assistant for a variety of surgical proceduresunder direct supervision of attending surgeon. Performs role ofcirculating nurse and/or scrub nurse when required. Assesses patientstatus, maintains a save care environment, manages equipment use anddelegates/directs care provided by Surgical Technologists and other supportpersonnel.Responsibilities include:• Collaborate with the cardiovascular surgery team to provide high-quality patient care• Assist in a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, Aortic Reconstruction, complex valve surgery, Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy, Ross Procedure, ECMO, vascular access, sternal closure, etc.• Utilize excellent endoscopic vessel harvesting expertise to enhance surgical outcomes• Comfortable operating within an academic-style cardiac program• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and clinical excellence
