Ammega is Hiring a Maintenance Tech I Near Buford, GA

As a Mechanical Maintenance Tech you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision
  • Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
  • Able to Fabricate and Weld using MIG, TIG, STICK, Plasma cutter, and Oxy-Acetylene
  • Working knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, hydraulic systems, chill water systems, gas systems, pneumatics.
  • Able to perform maintenance and facility repairs and improvements with minimum supervision or direction.
  • Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches
  • Be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical problems
  • Operate production equipment and check performance as required
  • Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate, or to improve production requirement
  • Be strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures (capable of meeting standard PM completion rate of 98% or better)
  • Have proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Perform lock out/ tag out procedure 100% of the time on machines/machines being serviced
  • Perform other duties as requested by Manager
  • Work in a safe manner, obeying all health, safety and environmental regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Managers/Supervisors and the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Understanding hot permits, confined space permits LOTO
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping

  • Previous relevant maintenance experiences in manufacturing environment
  • Strong Mechanical training and troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to effectively use computers and other technology
  • Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long period of time
  • Read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent attendance
  • Capable of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts.
