JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: : Physician (Surgery - Cardiovascular)
Location: Palm Springs, CA 92262
EMR:  Cerner  
Practice Setting:  Inpatient
Coverage Type: Call Only

Patients Per Shift:  varies
Bed In Department: 365

 

Responsibilities:
Provide specialized cardiovascular surgical care to patients.
Perform cardiothoracic surgeries in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in on-call schedule as required, either for call-only shifts or scheduled clinic hours combined with call.
Utilize the Cerner EHR system for accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Offer telehealth consultations and care as needed, adjusting frequency based on patient requirements.
Adhere to Tenet Healthcare's policies and standards while providing patient-centered care.
Maintain effective communication with medical center staff and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Previous experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing the Cerner EHR system.
Strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
Flexibility to adapt to varying telehealth needs and on-call schedules.
