The Gist…

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Data Fraud Team as a Risk Assessment Lead. This critical role involves leading the assessment and analysis of risks related to data fraud within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in risk assessment, preferably within the context of data fraud or related fields.

What Your Day Might Include…

  • Lead the identification and assessment of risks associated with data fraud activities.
  • Analyze internal and external data sources to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data systems and processes for comprehensive risk evaluation.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deploy effective controls and safeguards.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from data related to fraud activities.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent behavior.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to data security and fraud prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards through proactive risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory concerns and inquiries.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on achieving organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects to address emerging risks and challenges.

Requirements

You’ll Bring These Qualifications…

  • US Citizenship Required to obtain a GSA Public Trust
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management) required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk assessment, preferably within the context of data fraud or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of data fraud risks, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
